More photos of the machining process of the MPx Steering Column pod

Today we’re going to show you some photos of the machining process of the MPx steering column pod.

More specifically, the neck/base of the pod, and the adjustable neck assembly.

This is how the neck/base of the pod starts. A solid aluminum billet block.

Next its machined away until the center channel is cut away leaving a slot for the adjustable neck.

This is what the neck/base looks like after all of the edges are finished

This is the portion that mounts to the bottom of the gauge pod. The mounting base that will stick onto the steering columns will be next to machine/finish.
