Spotlight on ARP Head studs

Time to talk about ARP head studs for a minute or two.

If your rebuilding your 2.0/2.4 Dodge Neon/Dodge SRT-4 engine, an ARP head stud will offer you many advantages.

-Using studs with nuts instead of bolts allows for very easy removal of the head.
-Using studs instead of nuts eliminates the chances of you stripping the threading in the block (very costly to repair!)
-Using studs allow you to accurately, and consistently torque load (versus bolts that can stretch and twist)

Made out of 8740 Chromoly steel
Heat treated to 200,000 psi to ensure quality

Here is a photo of a Dodge Neon 2.0 with a fresh head gasket and ARP head studs. Notice how the studs have a allen key bolt on the head. This enables you to tighten down the stud into the block threading, and then use a nut to torque the head down onto the studs/block.
