Heres a car that was amazingly cool, but yet not racing in the 24 hours of Lemons. I believe it was an Art Car from Tulsa ? All of the lobsters and fish were animated ,and controlled by a computer inside the car. Songs would be played, and the lobsters and fish would move, and their mouths would even move to the songs. The owner of this car said he had approximately 5 miles of electrical wiring controlling the sea creatures. Absolutely amazing.
Wild 87-92 RX7. This thing was LOUD and nasty. The twin stacks on the rear were actually connected to the exhaust !
More photos of other 24 hours of Lemons racers.
This early 80’s Camaro was designed to be a Lucha Libre Mexican Wrestler style car. Pretty amazing work.
There were several Taurus SHO’s in the race, this one had a massive front splitter made out of plywood.
Car 29 was a Ford Probe that was layered in woodgrain vinyl.
Car 10 was a 4 door early 95 build (4 lug) Neon with a sohc engine. These guys have raced in several other Lemons races and were pretty good drivers.
Now, a few interesting prizes that were given out at the 2009 24 hours of Lemons in Houston in October.
