Modern Performance held a Neon, Neon SRT4, Chevrolet Cobalt, and Caliber SRT4 meet on 7-18-09 and we had in excess of 60 cars show up.
The meet took place in Houston, Texas at Modern Performance’s office/warehouse.
MP hosted the meet in the heigth of July, which is one of the hottest months of the year, and it was a challenge to keep everyone cool when it was 90-100 degrees outside!
Throughout the day, we had the following show up at the meet :
7-8 1995-1999 Dodge Neons
2-3 2000-2005 Dodge Neons
40-45 2003-2005 Dodge SRT-4’s
4-5 2008-2009 Dodge Caliber SRT-4’s
2-3 2005-2009 Chevrolet Cobalts
We didnt take count of how many people showed up, but it would not be suprising if we had in excess of 75-100 people.
Throughout the day, MP provided :
320 Cokes, Sprites, Bottled waters
75 cookies
15 Large Pepperoni, Hamburger, and Cheese pizzas
At the end of the day, there were NO food, or drinks leftover!
Anyways, onto the photos!
This is a photo behind Neon Row. All of these cars are owned by MP’s employees. From left to right, Cory Haines’s 95 Neon, Matt’s 98 Neon, Charles’s 97 Neon, and Kyles 96 Neon.
Here we have Ryans 97 Neon with 2.4 turbo being run on Megasquirt. Its really a miracle that Ryan was able to piece this car together, get it running, and idling with Megasquirt! Right next to it, is our project 2008 Dodge Caliber SRT4.
Ryans car is in really rough shape, but it runs!!
Here we have a yellow SRT-4. Its pretty rare to see a yellow SRT-4 nowadays!
Here we have a STI being surrounded by first gen Neons.
This is a really clean Blue SRT-4.
Under the hood of Ryans 98 Megasquirted 2.4 Neon.
Matt’s 97 Neon with Sohc motor, Hahn Racecraft Turbo kit with Portfueler. It also has 2003-2005 Neon Mopar accesories side skirt, front lip installed.
Twin turbo Neon SRT-4. Ill post more details in a seperate blog post on this car..
Really nice Silver SRT-4. This reminds me a lot of our old project 03 Neon SRT-4 which was silver with carbon fiber accents.
Orange Caliber SRT-4 with Synapse blow off valve and a hot air intake.
Red SRT-4 with Kosei K1’s !
Old School Turbo Daytona !
Black Caliber SRT-4 with chrome wheels. Forgot what size wheels it had..
Jason’s 97 Neon. This car was painted by Jason the NIGHT before the meet by himself.
Check out Jason’s cut rear bumper, homemade spoiler risers, and SRT-4 exhaust.
This was one of the cleanest Silver SRT-4’s at the meet.
At one point we ran out of room in our parking lot so we had to have cars park in the alley next to MP.
Heres Zoes SRT-4. I heard the last time he dyno tested his car he made 601 horsepower to the wheels.
