We received a GT3071R Ball Bearing Turbo kit for a customer and I thought it would be a great opportunity to snap a photo to share it with you guys.
The customer that bought this lives in Huixguilucan, Mexico, an area southwest of Mexico City, about 14 hours southeast of the Texas border. Its quite fascinating thinking of a 03-05 SRT-4 in Mexico, touring around with 400-500 horsepower! This particular area looks especially mountainous, so I can only imagine this customer flying around the mountain roads with his SRT4 in Mexico!
Anyways, onto the turbo kit. This is a ball bearing turbo kit, which will produce super fast spool up time compared to an old conventional design turbo. This kit from AGP runs about $2500 (as of 8-9-09) and will be good to make at LEAST 500 horsepower if not more.
This kit comes with an external wastegate, 38mm size with a dump tube.
Heres a photo of the turbo, with its 4 inch inlet. KEEP small children, and animals away from this inlet! Hehe!
