Thinking about buying coilovers? Its important to purchase a brand that can support you in case you need spare parts..

Pictured below, is the right rear strut off of our 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt SS with BC Coilovers. We hit a huge pothole that blew out our rear strut.

Its a little tough to see in the photo above, but there was strut oil all over the whole undercarriage of the car. Now, because we have BC coilovers, and BC is a company in the USA that has replacement parts, we’re not worried.

But, if you have a set of no name brand coilovers with no US offices for replacement parts, this would be a real problem.

We’re bringing this up, because we’ve heard from customers that bought cheap coilovers, saved a little bit of money but then lost out when replacement parts were not available, or when replacement parts took months to get.

Morale of the story – go with a coilover brand you can trust, and that has replacement parts AVAILABLE.
