OK guys, we received a LOT of really cool designs, and sketches for our DESIGN OUR ROAD RACE CAR GRAPHICS contest.
We’d like to extend a thank you to everyone who participated, and without further adue, its time to announce our winners for our contest.
Here are the prizes – 1st place $250 worth of MP product. 2nd place $150 worth of free product.
We graded these entries based on the following criteria:
– Easy to read MP font and signage
– Utilizing MP official colors – blue and silver
– Use .com to express our website address.
Our first place winner – was Joan Diaz. Joan used an eye catching blue silver and white color scheme. We dont like the font, because we feel its not bold enough to be viewed and read from a distance, but everything else was top notch.
Our second place winner – was Jason Day. Jason used a simple approach and extended our traditional logo to the side of the car. We really didnt want to use our traditional logo, and wanted something more like Joan’s design above, but Jason executed his design and colors well. We liked it.
We didnt have a third place spot, but we were so impressed with the amount of work that Brian Findley did that we decided to give him a special prize for his effort. He really spent a lot of time and effort drawing out all of these sketches and layouts. It was a little too detailed to win our (viewable from distance) metric, but still looked awesome. Here are his sketches.
