We had a customer contact us asking what the difference was between the Prothane suspension bushing kit and the Energy Suspension bushing kit for the 03-05 Dodge Neon SRT4.
So, instead of trying to explain it by phone, we thought we’d share photos in our blog so everyone could see the difference first hand.
We present to you:
4 photos, showing Energy Suspension bushing components matched along with Prothane components.
ES is on the left, Prothane on the right.
In each pile of parts, we match the items, ie, ES rear endlinks vs Prothane rear endlinks. For the most part, the kits match each other perfectly, except in the last photo we show the REAL differences between the kits.
Onto the photos. In this photo you see all of the components laid out. The top half is all of the components that the kits share. The bottom half is the difference between the kits.
In this second photo, you see that both kits have rear endlinks, 24mm front swaybar bushings, 17mm rear swaybar bushings, as well as 20mm front swaybar bushings.
In this third photo you can see that both kits have front endlinks, rear strud rod bushing kit, and front control arm bushings.
In this last photo, we present to you the ultimate difference between the two kits. The ES bushing kit on the left includes shifter base bushings which mount the shifter to the floor of the car whereas Prothane does not. But then, Prothane includes rear trailing arm bushings and ES does not, as well as Prothane includes rear swaybar bushings for different versions of the 00-05 Neon, and because the ES kit is SRT4 specific it doesnt include these regular 00-05 Neon swaybar bushings. Regardless, its pretty interesting how the ES kit doesnt include the rear trailing arm bushings for their SRT4 kit.
